While studying at Harvard for his law degree, Michael Abbate captained the football and cross-country teams and still runs whenever he can. After graduating with honors, he began a career in corporate law to fund his future philanthropic efforts. Michael Abbate now works as a criminal defense attorney in New Jersey.

Michael Abbate has a strong sense of connection to the community where he grew up in New Jersey and helps out wherever he can. Before becoming a criminal defense attorney, he worked in corporate law, representing several Fortune 500 companies. Michael Abbate plans to someday run for office in his hometown.

After that he aims to run for political office to represent the interests of the poor and disadvantaged in his New Jersey community. In his spare time, Michael Abbate enjoys hunting, fishing and hiking at his cabin in Maine.
