This is going to be a quick, to-the-point first impressions/review of the Micellar Cleansing Water by Pearlessence. I say “first impressions/review” because I’ve only used this a few times (I’ve got so many new products that I’m having a hard time showing all of them love) and I’m afraid it’ll be ages before I actually get around to religiously using this. However, even though I’ve only used it a few times, I can already tell the product is great so I wanted to share it with you guys. Okay, lets get into the review. First and foremost, lets address the obvious - this minimalist packaging is to die for. This is one of those products you purposefully put out on display on your vanity even though you know good and well you have room in the cabinets. Now to give a little background on micellar water - it’s basically little oil molecules in water which makes it both nondrying and a good option as a makeup remover. The claims on this product are: “effectively cleans skin without over drying” and will “lift and remove makeup and impurities” while leaving the skin clean and hydrated. I completely agree with all these claims. This product removes makeup well but at the same time is so lightweight and nondrying. I can see this being an amazing product for congested, oily skin. But I have dry, acne prone skin and it still felt great on my skin. Or maybe you don’t have any particular skin problems and just want a basic, natural skincare regime to maintain your skin - this will also be a good makeup remover or toner for you. This first impressions/review concoction was meant to be quick and simple so let me finish this by quickly going over the product. What is this product good for? Either as a makeup remover before cleansing, as a toner after cleansing to prepare the skin for its next products, or both. What are its pros? It effectively cleanses and removes makeup while leaving the skin clean and hydrated. It is extremely gentle, lightweight, and refreshing. Cons? I honestly have nothing negative to say about this product. Who do I recommend this for? Anyone looking for a gentle, natural makeup remover/toner or anyone who may have been wanting to try out a micellar water product but didn’t know what to choose. As per usual, this product is gentle enough for all skin types.
