Excel waited at the top of the hill, binoculars pushed tight around his eyes. He was alone, but had his communicator if anything were to go wrong. He was a scout: a watcher, a planner, an observer. This was his job in the Rebel Group known as Black Claw and he had been assigned a new target.

Recently, Black Claw had been on a string of disappointing stings; earlier this month, they were caught in the act of espionage in attempt to plant bombs in a Mainland GEAR Science facility, and the last 4 incidents of "suspicious activity" they investigated turned out to be simple drug dealings. 

"Ughh, I hope this one's not another meth lab. I'm tired of playing cop for this country." He expressed his dismay into his communicator.

A female voice replied with a great deal of ambient electronic hums and clicks distorting it.

"Excel, just do your job, and we'll do ours. This is why we send you out here in the first place. So we don't have to waste much time if it turns out to be a false alarm. Just keep your eyes open, got it?"
