𝐒tevie tucked her lips back in a corner of her mouth as she was looking down at her phone, sitting in the bathroom stall. Her phone’s battery read 2%, but she wasn’t panicking. She’d be able to charge it in her truck once she and her movie date had headed out of the cinema. If it wasn’t for the weather, she’d have loved to have seen a movie with her co-worker in the drive-in portion of it. But beggars couldn’t be choosers, she guessed. The brunette let out a quiet sigh before clicking her phone off and stuffing it back into her pocket. A crack of thunder caught her ears, and hazel hues went to the ceiling in turn. This kind of weather wasn’t completely foreign to the traveler, but she wondered if it might cause a dent in the plans she’d made with Simone that happened to be only an hour away.
𝐒he was quickly taken out of her thoughts when the lights went out, and she was promptly plunged into darkness. Stevie lifted her brows as her sights, now useless, crept around the inside of her stall in confusion. The sound of a scream or two echoed the restroom, fellow movie-goers, followed by a few quick feet moving past her stall, and then everything was quiet. What in the hell? “...Uh, Mia?” She called out, shifting her sights to the side. Well, this was just comically horrific. Stevie reacted as such by expelling a short awkward laugh a beat after. “Please tell me you’re still in here.” Her voice was a little less relaxed, that time, after she remembered how low her phone’s battery was. She stood up to flush, and pull her pants up, before exiting the stall. Jesus, was it dark. She wasn’t even able to see her own hand in front of her face.
