A skip and a hop with a happy tune hummed out past a cheerful smile, following the beat of their shoes as they clicked against the path beneath their feet. Lips parting as a song leaves their lips, joyfully twirling at the end of a lyric before stopping to look around the world.

"This place is so cool~ It's so different from Yokohama~" They giggle as they hold their doll up as if their words were directed to it. But. As lovely as this new place was, could it be a dream, they had no money and the after-effects of hunger were making it hard to skip about.

A quick skip forward, doll tight in their arm as they catch sight of bright hair. It looked like Chuuya-san's! And soon they were tugging on the long coat in their hand. It looked so cool! Like a character in a picture book!

"Oh em gee!!" Ramuda gasps, hands flying up to his cheeks as he bounces closer. Eyes wide as he looks the stranger up and down, he giggles and grins brightly.

"You're so so cool, mister! Just look at you showing off~!!" He titters, pointing to the stranger's bare midriff before he runs circles around Luke. "Ah, a super scawy monster's on the back of your shirt!! Is it 'cause you're that scawy or 'cause you wanna scare anyone who sneaks up behind you??"

The reek of death clings to him like a second skin, or like the blood of the strange creatures that his cloth had sliced to ribbons. Their corpses littered the immediate area. Crimson red on bright green. A vast expanse of fields with bits of trees that lined the horizon. Where ever this place was, it was not Yokohama or Suribachi City. No this was a place far from everything.

His cell phone didn't work either, and from his limited knowledge, that meant there were no towers. Was this someplace near Kenji's village? But it looked too different. All the young man can do is frown.

A frown that grows deeper as he hears the sound of footsteps.

That he is, for once, not IMMEDIATELY recognized, he knows NOT if it is a blessing, or the slightest of annoyances. Both . . . he would settle for BOTH, yet, approach with the necessary level of polite CAUTIOUSNESS one would EXPECT of a Lord in unknown territory. Though he means no harm unless provoked, such does not mean he shan't be the victim of a sudden shift in aggression--- thusly, his staff is kept close, as always.

" Dohalim il Qaras, Lord of Elde Menancia. I do apologize for the intrusion; I was separated from my party. " A brief glance around tells him NOTHING of the surrounding area, but it, admittedly, invokes a level of scholarly curiosity. New terrain meant a wealth of knowledge, at his fingertips, waiting to be learned . . . but, first, he need ensure he would make it out of this alive, and in good standing with these STRANGERS.

" I come with no intent to harm anyone, you have my word. "

"I was, once." Bitterness curls its way around Nidhogg's tongue, and it folds its wings against its body. Its size can still be a weapon, but in reverse of what it used to do. A shame, that it has sunk so low. It had played with its toy for too long, and this is the result...

Perhaps this human child can be of use. Nidhogg chirps, a low and lilting noise that can be interpreted as sorrow.

"......"

He's staring at the stuffed bear? cat? Animal. The animal and then at Anise, perplexed. She was trying to get the rice off his cheek with her stuffed animal? Why didn't she just tell him so he could wipe it off? Though he is both grateful and surprised that she didn't invade his space to do it, keeping his phobia in mind. That was...nice.

A little laugh escaped him.

"What a waste---"

He doesn't care much for flowers. He doesn't entirely know the meaning of all of them nor does there appear to be any name left with the little bundle. Yet there they are, sitting there, mocking him. Plucked up from where they once grew so they could eventually wilt and die. Sounded familiar.

Perhaps he's putting far too much thought into it.

He sighs and picks them up.
