About a year ago I decided to give this whole marathon thing a try. I spent most of 2015 running through the streets of NY and claiming my 9+1 credit that qualified me for the 2016 NYC Marathon. Last night I had the privilege of being nominated as the NYRR Runner of the Year in my age group. Even though I didn't win, I feel extremely honored to have been selected from hundreds of runners because of my effort this past year.
