more than once you asked me why i enjoyed winters so much if people are off the populated cities and your cold hands when i bring them to my face i have nothing left to tell u perhaps in a masochistic approach i find enough poetry to know that for at least a few months people can afford to be sad without pretending, they can cry under four blankets and shiver with fear and helplessness without attracting too much attention their eyes may cry silently and their mouths blame the violent winds when someone asks them what happened to them. they can ask for a day off at work stay crying and tell their bosses that the temperature change affects them; they can hug and sleep very close with the excuse that the stove broke, can write poems, make draws he hears the occasional sad song and cries for some heartbreak buried years ago, but with the first carelessness he relives; then with feet and icy faces, our hearts and souls boil as if our bodies were nothing more than a wrapper for those who really matter, within a few seconds we let out, maybe something high on friday, or quite melancholic on a sunday at two in the morning and with a soup in his hands. winter allows us that, forces us to stay at home and deepen our psyche until we can no longer, twists us it arches us simultaneously in a constant distance and proximity of our bodies, it burns us with nothing more and nothing less than a grade below zero, the temperature needed to transform an ice is no coincidence.
