as much as i would like hawks to keep his wings please and thank u.... i will indulge in the concept of a quirkless half-scarred spymaster in his late twenties, maybe thirties, with a past everyone knows but no one dares mention, who once went by the hero name hawks. and not ten years after the tragedy that left him quirkless, his presence is near forgotten by the public, brief as it was (only eighteen when he hit the charts, twenty-three when he fell from them; five years is nothing to the tidal wave of time, to a society that churns out a new shining hero every half-hour). the youngest of recruits don’t even recognise him without the wings, only realise it from hasty whispers of that’s him, you idiot, the winged hero or what’s left of him. so sad how he ended up. so sad, how he’ll never fly again. a cautionary tale for young heroes who wanted to much and flew too fast. takami lets them think what they want. it makes his job easier when they forget that the most dangerous part of a raptor isn’t the feathers but the talons.
