Day 31: Who/What Got You Into Monster Hunter?

My Hunting Partner got me into the game! When he’s not hunting with me, he’s my fiancé! 

When Tri came out he bought himself a copy and I watched him play a bit. It looked like a lot of fun, so I made my own save file. I suddenly wanted to play all the time and so he got me my own copy and I borrowed my brother’s Wii. 

I think we’ve gotten every game since that came out on Nintendo systems.

Monster Hunter is even the only reason we bought the 3DS at all!

Day 30: Favorite Type/Family of Monster To Hunt?

Flying Wyverns. 

We both really like to hunt them. For him, they’re really familiar– classic, he says. It’s almost the same for me, since he likes to hunt them so much, it’s what I’m used to. It’s what I’m familiar with. It’s not so much classic for me since I’m only on my third game where as he has been playing for years longer.

Day 29: Favorite Game?

What ever one I’m currently playing?

so, right now it’s MH4U. 

It’s a pretty terrible answer, I guess, but I can’t even begin to choose. 

The three I have played are all pretty similar and they only seem to improve.

Day 28: If You Could Add A New Weapon Type…?

I don’t??? understand???

Why would I add anything that wasn’t dual blades???

???

I really don’t think I have any cool ideas for MH Weapons, to be honest. They’re all really neat concepts and I think I’ll leave it to Capcom...

I’m going to do them all and post them through out today and tomorrow. 

27: Most Memorable Hunt?

There was one time... I was fighting a P.Gypceros with my Hunting Partner and another friend and then a Deviljho appeared! Party time? 

It was late and me and the other friend were under-geared and had already died once each, I believe, but, the hunter-friend in freaking Kecha Wacha gear (maybe Kecha Plus?) goes after this deviljho. For like five minutes. Alone. With a hammer. and comes back to the Gypceros fight... not unscathed, but at least not dead.

I don’t remember much of my part of it-- except that I backed off toward the end because I ran out of potions. Yay, under-geared and stupid! --but I will always thing of that friend trying to solo hunt an online Deviljho.

Day  26: Desire Sensor - Worst Material Farmed?

For me, it’s something stupid... an Iodrome Head. I just could not get it. 

Finally I went out with my Hunting Partner and trapped the sucker and got it.

For my Hunting Partner, it was a Rathalos Plate. In the original Monster Hunter. He had so much trouble that he claims he still has not seen a Plate.
