Notes about the Classic Mega Man (Rock) Design:

Very silly guy. Wanted to emphasize that this is a (not literal but yo get the gist) ten year old in armor with a pure heart of justice. Smacked some good ol' awkward yet humble eyes to show that.

The 'r' shapes on his face (which, in combination with his other features on his face, spell out 'rock') are speakers, so he doesn't NEED to use his mouth to speak, but does when he’s around humans anyways for readability/the kindness of his heart :}

Armor heavily inspired by armor of Ghibli Protags, most notability Nasicaa

Added pockets because all good armor needs those

Notes about the Mega Man X Design:

Not that canon divergent actually, pretty much stuck to the art book(?) design minus some added details and ‘x’s because mf is bald.

Like Rock, he doesn’t NEED to use his mouth to speak (with the ‘rx’ lines in his cheeks), but he does when around people just for the sake of it.

Notes about the Cope X Design:

It’s like if you mixed Chainsawman Makima’s perception/control/power obsession and ULTRAKILL Gabriel’s perception/control/power obsession into one mess of a person (or whatever he is, who cares) given-- who relies too much on power--desperately trying not to look like it for control (with the added bonus of trying to emulate someone to the point it’s not who he’s trying to emulate so :D)

I also hc (first as a joke but now I’m actually considering it) that one of the added reasons why shit played out like it did (along with everything else) is that he received media training to appeal more to the humans like a day after he was made. That, along with whatever else, was the only time of interacting with other entities he had before going straight to having power over the state. This is also why he smiles so weirdly.

(^ This is also why he dilates his eyes to an uncanny degree—to appear more benevolent to human eyes.)

(^ Another thing is that one of the major sources of X he bases himself on, besides all else, are documentaries of X and he spent an unhealthy amount of time in front of the screen trying to replicate his smile, which is ALSO why he smiles so weirdly.)

Because of his less than helpful upbringing, he doesn’t lip sync very well, sometimes overdoing it or just forgetting to do so and retreating into his ‘neutral’ smiling face, sometimes twitching between the both (which most notably happens with the second copy)

Although he practically is identical to X (minus the eyes and mouth), in his transformed version, the ‘rx’ lines on his face smooth over. Since his transformation adds more parts/metal to him, this can happen so more poetic pathetics to Copy X :D

I also tried doing a Cyberelf X Design but I was too tired and goodbye.
