i think that he unconsciously becomes aware of it! like solely a byproduct of months of you cajoling him into picking up your favourite take out spot because cravings, when you’re nearly a feral cat with crankiness, and the times you’ve texted him a hundred pouting emojis begging him to pick up tampons/pads because you’re stuck to your heating pad.

then there comes a day where he’s not really paying attention to what he’s saying mid-conversation, and he makes an offhand comment about it being time for your period soon akshdhdhdjsjdbd.

like as much as i call him a freak i think this is really him being incredibly hyperaware of you.

Marco as a yandere is almost unfair. He's got those emotions on lock before you meet him. He's calm, collected, kind, in control, and there's no hope of escape.

Sure he'll woo you properly, little gifts, sincere compliments, his actions and words tailored to your every need. It doesn't matter what kind of darling you are, you're going to walk into his room under your own power unless something comes along and shatters all his careful moves and plans.

Even the most careful planner cannot control everything, but on the Moby? Around his brothers and his crew? Even in a modern AU with all the power and prestige of his family - and he's no slouch even on his own, certainly. There's no need for him to be anything but relaxed, he'll ingratiate himself easily.

If you are a runner darling or defiant, by the time you come to understand that you should be getting away from him, you're already locked up tight. Especially if he feels like you're the type to make a break for it at the slightest concern.

And you can scream and rage and fight against him after the fact, he won't mind. He'll give you reason to sing sweeter songs for him regardless. He won't need to do anything as extreme as breaking your limbs, but he could, with ease, and he could mend them just as well. It's not a game you want to play, certainly, but he will indulge you, if you so desire.

He won't leave room for doubt about how inevitable things are, so just give in. It's alright pretty bird, he'll give you such pleasures, treasures and experiences, come sit in his lap, and show him that you accept and appreciate his love. That's all.

I don't currently have a Government Mandated Marriage AU planned for Marco (I have *so much* else planned for him though), but Hey Doll has inspired notes for an Izou story that will actually take place in the same AU as Hey Doll.

And I just mean you'll get sneak peeks of Thatch and his match while you go through Izou's story - so it's not just the same AU, but the same instance of that AU too.

Hey Su honey !!! I'm hanging in, luckily the puffers the hospital gave me have been working wonders but I'm still having trouble taking deep breaths without coughing up nasty shite or losing my breath just walking around the apartment. I'm also very lucky my work had been so understanding and has given me today and tomorrow off to recoup and I was scheduled off Wednesday so I won't go back til Thursday, which gives me lots of time to properly take care of myself.

Also Dee i've a question do you get mad when people only like your works? I do it sometimes to come read later but my poscovid butt some time forgets and I think i like spammed someone and they blocked me :( so i wanted to know your view on that🫂

first of all, i'm very sorry you ended up getting blocked! every writer definitely has their own preferences and rules re: spam likes.

i will say that if someone's only way of interacting with my writing is through likes, i do get sad! my favourite part about tumblr (and why i prefer it to ao3 as a writer) is the sense of community here and how it encourages everyone to interact and be social. 'likes' don't really tell me anything at all. but when someone comments on a fic, expresses their feelings over it in the tags, or sends me an ask, i get so happy to read any sort of feedback. and in turn, having those types of interactions is ultimately what motivates me to keep writing + what helps inspire me to write other things. when you're excited about something i wrote, that makes ME excited and makes me want to write more things to get you excited again.

if i was solely posting on ao3 (where i do get very kind comments as well!!! but social interactions are few and far between compared to here), i 100% would not be spending as much of my free time writing fanfic.

now, that being said, i know that some people feel nervous about interacting with a writer outside of likes. leaving comments/tags/asks can be so intimidating! and also not everyone has the spoons for that! so i don't take 'only likers' personally. and i also don't block spam likers.

but i think the most important takeaway (and i'm saying this as a general statement toward anyone reading this right now!) is that if readers want their favourite writers to keep writing/stay inspired/feel motivated (because please keep in mind that writing fic is a labour of love and a writer may have spent hours or days or weeks on whatever thing you just read) - try and make the effort to interact outside of likes when you can :) even if you don't know what to say, writers love when you just highlight what your favourite lines were honestly.

also important sidebar but reblogs are !!!!!!!SO IMPORTANT!!!!!!!! even if you don't know what to put in the tags and leave them empty, or if you just leave an excited keysmash, reblog reblog reblog!!!! (i promise my absolute favourite rb tags are the unhinged ones where someone is like apologizing for crashing out mid-tags HAHA, but even if it's an empty rb i truly appreciate the share so much all the same) because if you're not rbing to help get the fic that you enjoyed on someone else's dash, that fic is left at the mercy of the algorithm :( the search function here is nowhere near as sophisticated as ao3.
