What makes it so attractive for Catnip Cats: The Herb Nepeta
While some parts of the world would like to think of their family cat (s) as unique and typical to go to a high apparently drunk when they are given a pile of catnip - some of them cats can just turn up their nose at this popular grass from genus of plants (well over 250 in total) Nepeta called. This could almost be similar to human alcoholic gene, but most experts say that the passion behind cats catnip is inherited strictly through the olfactory areas of a cat. All this could help to give some credence to genetic imprinting in all living species, especially the complicated man. It also gives a little 'a mystery why it is so enticing catnip for cats and become a useful sedative for humans when used as a medicinal herb in things like the occasional tea. Too bad, because I'm sure many of us would not mind having the same effects are cats to catnip when it is put in our tea. Despite the fact that human use of the plant Nepeta - the name given to all species of plants is generally called catmints, which shows that its main use is. Besides this, some plants are considered weeds, and probably will end up in a garbage bag construction worker, if not saved to prepare you to give your cats. Obviously, however, it is better to buy it in bags in pet stores, where some of the best kinds are available. Most experts say that the kind of high quality that will get the best reaction from your cat is on the Nepeta Cathars - or otherwise known as "catnip true." In addition, Faassen Nepeta is usually grouped with the plant Cathar as those who have the most pungent flavor. Yet, your cat is not supposed to taste when he or she begins to have its strongest reactions. As mentioned above, there seems to be attached to all catmints a scent that mimics the scent of pheromones perhaps mysterious that cats use to mark territory or even the smell of urine that we all know, are also used for the same. But no one knows for sure that the quality of the perfume is that cats find in all the catmint plants ... and probably will never come unless we can put ourselves in their minds a day. The kinds of scents that are nice are not the same as us, so that it makes use of the term "brand" word behind the ingredients likely a misnomer. When we see the reactions of cats to catnip, you probably automatically equates to something like alcohol, sugar (or, God forbid, cocaine) that gives a person an immediate feeling of comfort like nothing else. Every expert on pets, however, will tell you which is more or less work the other human beings always hooked on alcohol, sugar or drugs. If given too much catnip actually become immune to the scent and do not want it anymore. Too bad that does not happen with humans when it comes to things of dependence, although this shows that the life of a cat is usually much better than ours. This is the reason for giving catnip to your cat only once in a while is the best. However, hidden in a place where your cat can not find - because I had experience of my family cat on the top of a bookshelf and dig in ... give some credit to be as addictive as you can be. The myth that older cats do not like most is just that - a myth ... all based on my personal experience. It just shows that our cats are the most unique that experts say that group them all in the same gene pool. Do not worry, though, if your cat does not react at all to all versions of catnip ... Breaking the myth that all cats love catnip ... The gene pool is a complicated thing in the world of dogs and cats - and one that would be fascinating to study when it comes to where our cats come from the same large pool domesticated. Those who study such a thing to say that most cats are domesticated in the United States will react strongly to catnip. There may be some degree of intensity in some than others, but the gene in cats here in America seem to go up along the same lines. Occasionally, however, is a rare cat that did not receive the genetic fingerprint of catnip to give that strong effect on their olfactory glands. At present, most of the problem resides in Australia, where the gene pool for cats (and all domestic animals) was lower. I'm sorry for those of you who wanted to open a shop somewhere in Down catnip. Despite this, you will find some small items around the world depending on the randomness of genetics. Some people may be grateful that their cat does not respond to catnip, even though most people find it a joyful (and sometimes humorous) experience to see their beloved cat, reacting with such uninhibited bliss. ___ When I was very young, I used to think that cats actually liked to eat catnip, especially when you see them licking the ground or on their body (after rolling in it). The truth is that when they put it in your mouth - do not consume, but just temporarily put in the mouth as we would if the chewing gum. This apparently increases the smell of it for them, if not a pungent flavor goes beyond the nuts. Sometimes I wonder, however, after the past experience of my cat family practically consuming the bundle given to him. Then again, wallowing in it probably gives the illusion of not being consumed when it's just broken into particles having to go everywhere. Many say that while it seems to be a mysterious trait in domestic cats - you can come directly from the wild and something instilled in the feline genetic line from creation. A lot of experiments in nature have shown that some species of cat from the line (ie lions and jaguars) respond to catmints wildly. Some other experiments say tigers are not responding. I do not believe that everything may have been some other reason behind it (like maybe have another smell the scent of catnip prevalent). If the tigers do not really respond to it - then maybe it's because they are too stuck in their ways and carnivorous only detect the scent of the meat. ___ Well, Nepeta because the plants are used by humans (but rarely) as a medicinal herb soothing as I said - we can only hope that one day we will find healing herb that makes us want to roll around in it and to act for a dramatic bit '. Some people already do with unhealthy sugary foods, unfortunately. But if we ever managed to find a plant like this - you can be sure of the FDA steps in and outlaw it. Cats probably at least secretly thank the FDA for not interfering in their world ...
