Piping
This method was again the manipulation of the cotton. I began by sewing with a straight stitch following the pattern on batik on a domestic machine. I then placed the piping as close to the straight stitch as possible as I sewed the next line to keep the binding in place. I repeated this method again (as seen above) with a smaller binding to see the difference in size. This method will be great use if I am wanting to add texture or make a specific area bolder.
