this is a hard one because thus far in the life she's aware of having lived, starstruck hasn't had a particularly huge amount of control over most things that have happened to or around her! i'm sure like the rest of us she overthinks various Social Blunders and the like that nobody but her remembers, but mostly she's fairly content with how things are playing out.

she looks at the insects on the screens, going about their petty lives, playing at ideas of their so-called justified heroism. she looks as they cause exactly the same, if not more destruction than their foes in what they perceived as an act of righteousness. the followers of overwatch go so blindly, pursuing idealized achievements against an enemy they do not truly understand.

amélie never liked war. they never approved. did not believe in the corrupt systems, did not believe in the pursuit of justice in the name of heroic, self-minded concepts, allthewhile killing more innocent bystanders than nemeses. moreover they did not approve of the systems instated. they were the psychologist of the broken people these men deployed left and right. amélie knew the horrors. amélie knew them better than any of those calling the shots.amélie understood that no one was a hero after that. they were just --- broken. blinded. alone.

she knows these thoughts are incorrect. she knows she should not form such strongly opinionated thoughts, nor recall sentimentalities and grudges from the past life. her memory lapses, and it stings, bites into the back of her skull in a warning of the inevitable oncoming headache. the widowmaker clicks her sharpened nails against her thigh. she shifts uncomfortably, hopes it is not noticeable.
