Page 1. ---- The largest training whoever in the Empire's navy is shown in the upper left after it had been christened the Venture by Mrs. Norman Rogers, wife of the Federal Minister of Labor at a little shipyard on Nova Scotia’s ‘Acadian Shore.’ Three thousand farmer-fishermen of the shore watched Mrs. Rogers (upper right) as she broke a cloth-covered battle over the hull of the schooner. The ship, built by men who have been making fishing schooners for years, is a replica of the farnous Nova Beotia Grand Banks fishing schooner Bluenose, now speed champion of the North Atlantic fleets. The Italian brig Due Soralle B., which has been lying in the back channel for some weeks, is being got in readiness to go on the marine railway at Meteghan for repairs. She will be coppered and painted.
