Sword Knight is quiet for a long moment before saying, “Why not just tell him?” Solstice’s face goes bright red as he shoots his glance to look at Sword. “T-tell him!? You know I can’t just tell him! Maybe— Wha— What if he’s never been in love before!? Never dated someone before!? What if… What if he isn’t interested—!?”
“Y-you’re right, I don’t, but—”
“So, tell him. What’s stopping you?”
“Are you just afraid he’ll say no or is there something else, too?”
Solstice loses his words, looking down at his hands. Glitchy hallucinations shape them to make them hold two bloody white wings. As he lifts his head, he sees Galacta Knight staring back at him, an almost horrified expression under his mask, which had its horns ripped off. He was bleeding, frequently touching his wingless back only to find more and more blood staining his hands. Umbra could almost hear his shaking breath, like he was either going to cry or faint, if not both. But what caught Umbra’s attention the most was Galacta’s horrified expression. It was like it was his first time seeing Umbra’s merciless side, the side he forcefully crafted into them while they were under his care. He had already accepted defeat at this point, but was suddenly fearful of the fate awaiting him.
They had never seen that particular face on Galacta before, but it made them feel powerful, like they could never be stopped. No matter how hard any Star Warrior tried to take them down, no matter how large the army charging at them was, no matter how big of a threat his opponent was, they would always come out victorious. Umbra didn’t exactly know why, but seeing Galacta Knight in such a vulnerable state after his wings were brutally removed, aroused them. Their heart began to beat rapidly, like it felt the thrill but wanted more, telling them to inflict more pain onto him, like Galacta didn’t receive as much as he deserved. “Solstice?” an outside voice was calling out to them, drowning out their thoughts. “Solstice? You alright, mate?” Sword was waving his hand over Solstice’s face.
There was slight annoyance in Sword’s pose when Solstice finally came to. He must’ve spent a good while trying to get his attention. Solstice’s glance perked up from his hands, smiling sheepishly. “Oh, sorry. You were saying?”
