in truth, takumi had not arrived terribly long ago, and that was probably for the best. he's so nervous about this dinner that his palms are sweaty, wiping them as inconspicuously as he can against the fabric over his thigh — and it might have only gotten worse had he been left alone to his own thoughts any longer.

still, takumi has an image he feels a form of desperation to maintain, and so that's why he initially answers: " well, i'm a pretty patient guy, y'know, so it's no big deal. "

he's quiet again for a beat as he swallows ; he wonders, hopes, that he doesn't look as nervous as he feels. he thinks he'll be crushed if he screws this up. leo is handsome, smart, has a sharp wit, and he always looks so put - together. likewise, takumi feels utterly out of his depth, but he'd rather die than confess as much.

Having spent the majority of the day at the town's shrine helping his father get everything prepared, and aiding in the classes they were putting on for the local schools as a miko, it was already the end of the school day by the time he had arrived at Yasogami High School. Even if he hadn't stopped at the inn to change out of his miko garb, it would have likely only arrived just before the final bells. So he was glad to see a few students were still around.
