I've read up a little about some of the forms Alucard takes. Some of them involves the creators mocking at the criticism they received from Alucard looking like other characters (Vash the Stampede, Vincent from Final Fantasy, etc). So instead of taking the criticism, they're like, "Okay, let's give Alucard the ability to change forms. Alucard doesn't have a true faces; he's everyone and everything." They literally liked the idea of Alucard mocking the Devil so they used that.
LIVID. i do love this idea a lot , especially to the reference of him looking like the leader of sin itself . i like to compare him in general to the SNAKE OF EVE that tempted eve into eating the forbidden fruit . so i am so happy the creators went ahead and drove a nail into the coffin of their mockers by actually giving him endless forms .
i can breathe happily knowing someone else sees the connection to th vash / vincent though . they do look very similar .
