I was going to wait until Merric's 5th anniversary, but I've come to realize that there's no need to drag things out forcefully. It's funny how I used to say I wouldn't drop him, but hey, goes to show that we should never say never. As time went on and I struggled with his activity levels, I began to realize more and more that I was holding on to him for the principle, because I felt like I was supposed to, and it's not a good place to be.

I love Merric dearly, I always will, and I will forever think of him fondly as the muse who brought me into TOA and this wonderful community. With that said, after these 4 years and 10 months, I am satisfied with what I've done with him and how far he and I have come, and I'm ready to let him return home while I move on.

Thank you everyone who accepted both him and me all those years ago. I'm looking forward to continue writing my other delusions with you all!
