i like meristrid bc it gives astrid the chance to be a complete loser. like this cool badass archer girl with her head totally in the clouds just completely ignores her and disregards her bc shes too busy rooting around in the dirt and hanging out with her horse and astrids like intentionally standing around trying to look cool sharpening her axe but merida just strolls right past without even acknowleging her and astrid is like FUCK. FUCK GODDAMN IT. and then sprints down a back alley to stand somewhere trying to look cool and aloof where merida will walk past again and the cycle continues until astrid has to give up for the day and go scream into a pillow
