awwww futebol isn't the arena to fight off pitch culture wars. Merih Demiral is free to be himself. He didn't kill anybody, he helped his team win by scoring two goals and celebrated his community. Some were insulted ok. But….

The tragedy of the beautiful game is , it is beautiful for being present everywhere in humanity. But here is the issue, everywhere in humanity isn't the same, doesn't want to be the same. Some places in humanity hate blacks. Some places in humanity hate women. Some places in humanity hate christians. Some places in humanity hate homosexuals. Some places in humanity hate french speakers. Some places in humanity hate asians. Handsigns are not tactile assaults. I accept that some gestures say to the world someone or group dislikes me for some descriptive. But that is ok. I am mature enough to accept it. All need to become mature enough to accept it. The only way futebol remains global is by accepting the human community around the globe has always been and will always be free to be truly multiverse.
