the grimoire dropped with a thud onto the middle of the table, green eyes looking up from the thick book before she made a move to open it.  her arms ached from carrying the book even in the short distance from the car to inside the home, but that was solely because of the heaviness of the book itself and not because she was weak, though she knew that’s how it looked.  “look, i got the grimoire, but i don’t think i can get anything else that you asked for,” she said truthfully, eyebrows lightly raised.  “i don’t even know if the spell’s in here.  i just know my aunt’s dabbled in every single type of magic, so there’s a chance,” she added with a small shrug of her shoulders.  “you can take a look if you want, i just have to get this back to my aunt by tonight before she realizes it’s gone.”
