AMNESIA AU || @mercenaryhearted
HE woke up to nowhere. That is, nowhere he knew -- that, and to an ache in too many places in his body to properly name. Were there more air in his lungs, he would have been in the right mind to jolt up and run to some place familiar. Were there more sense in his head, he wouldnāt have wasted his breath to rasped the wordĀ ā thirsty --Ā ā to the first unsuspecting character he saw. Yet he stayed there. Pinned to the stone floor of a darkened somewhere he did not have the strength to question.Ā
ā Am I...dead ?āĀ He asked the woman by his side. ā Sheās pretty,Ā ā he thought -- well, were it not for her worry-worn eyes and exhausted posture. He paused and though his words through again. Father said it wouldnāt hurt when they died -- that the Goddess would welcome them in her kind arms. (Ā But who was his father ? Where was he ? What was his name ? ) He tried again:Ā āAm I dying...?āĀ
