      “ .. ––– did you touch yourself ? ”

exiting  the  rather  small  shop  after  his  shift  ,  he  grabbed  the  board  he  had  kept  behind  the  lifeguard  station  ,  and  ran  out  to  the  waves .  time  doesn’t  exist  to  him  out  on  the  water  -  everything  becomes  a  blur  when  he’s  in  his  element  .  he  was  doing  rather  well  at  first ,  he  caught  some  rather  large  waves  , but  he  eventually  took  a  rather  embarrassing  tumble  .  deciding  to  take  a  breather  ,  he  walked  back  up  the  beach  , hair  messy  and  water  dripping  down  his  toned  chest ,  to  grab  his  water  bottle  .  and  only  then  did  he  realize  someone  had  been  watching  him  ,  “  please   tell  me  you  didn’t  see  that  …  or  only  saw  the  good  waves   ,  ”  he  laughs   ,  sending  her  a  cocky  wink  .

trish ... where are the tissues . this means so much coming from you, you GODDESS !!! i love you, your kids, and everything we've managed to make so far. everything you do puts me in AWE ( writing , edits , creativity , etc etc etc ) and i'm blessed to be able to create our world together , you talented queen ... i can't wait to make more ( and more and more ... ) <333

when the party's over ╱can't get you out of my head ╱ someone else ╱ blender

there  is  palpable  tension  in  the  air  as  they  stand  in  front  of  each  other  for  longer  than  a  few  minutes  for  the  first  time  in  months  .  he  wasn’t  supposed  to  be  here  ,  he  was  supposed  to  have  practice  for  at  least  another  hour  .  she’d  left  a  note  in  the  bedroom  that  explained  everything  had  even  poured  over  it  for  hours  ,  splaying  out  the  most  vulnerable  parts  of  yourself  were  much  easier  when  it  was  to  a  piece  of  paper  and  not  the  man  your  presumed  to  be  the  love  of  your  life  .  despite  their  close  proximity  if  feels  like  they’re  galaxies  away  from  one  another  ,  and  maybe  they  have  been  for  the  past  days  ,  weeks  ,  months  even  .  almost  melancholy  at  the  fact  that  all  of  their  efforts  ,  years  of  being  together  ,  had  been  stained  .  one  that  glared  back  at  daphne  ,  haunting  her  innermost  thoughts  .  and  now  ,  months  of  fights  and  back  and  forth  had  amalgamated  into  daphne’s  packed  suitcases  trailing  not  too  far  behind  her  ,  and  a  pair  of  keys  lain  on  the  kitchen  island  ,  something  belonging  to  them  ,  but  now  felt  like  solely  his  .  “  i  went  downtown  and  closed  the  bank  account  ,  ”  her  first  words  used  to  explain  herself  ,  and  she’s  still  feeding  to  paparazzi  bullshit  ,  a  twisted  painting  of  her  as  a  ‘  gold  digger  ’  ,  one  that  not  even  her  parents  status  could  extinguish  the  flames  of  .  on  the  coffee  table  are  dozens  of  tabloids  ,  all  with  their  names  in  hideous  yellow  text  ,  strewn  about  in  a  manic  fashion  ,  buzzwords  like  ‘  cheating  ’  &  ‘  new  girl  ’  follow  her  around  ,  haunting  her  ,  fitful  ridicule  from  ghosts  of  a  love  less  real  than  they  are  .  “  i  would’ve  understood  you  know  .  if  you  wanted  to  break  up  ,  i  wouldn’t  have  held  you  back  like  i  did  in  our  relationship  ,  ”  yet  another  quote  from  the  tabloids  she’d  become  obsessed  with  reading  since  they  began  demonizing  her  ,  “  i’m  happy  for  you  and  whoever  she  is  .  she  seems  good  for  you  ,  apparently  everyone  knows  that  i’m  not  .  ”  she  wants  him  to  reach  out  ,  to  reassure  her  ,  sweep  her  up  in  his  arms  as  he  had  a  million  times  before  .  but  she  knows  that’s  not  what  this  is  ,  this  isn’t  the  beginning  of  anything  ,  it’s  the  end  of  everything  .
