Here we see the four Hathor’s, the compassionate divine feminine. This neter (God) is the generative female force in which provides nourishment for the universe in her cosmic role as mistress of the cycles of time. She is the multiplier of life and so she was revered by many. This #Temple at Dendera was consecrated to her. #Initiates from all over traveled long distances to #meditate in her temple, bathe in her #sacred pool and receive the #medicine and care they needed. She wears the #Menet necklace of the Dendera Temple Kabirim priesthood. Each of the four Hathor columns maintain a symbolic temple, denoting form and the material universe, the four corners, the four winds, the four directions and the four faces of Hathor representing the four Supreme powers of universe; #Love, #Harmony, #Wisdom and Infinite Force If #Divine Will. To the right the sun is rising on the horizon - Horus rising, best viewed as #Heru, the name of #Horus BEFORE #Greek corruption. Hathor is the house of HOURUS, who represents return to source, or return to the light in his #cosmic role. The sun is rising from a solar boat. However the solar boat is inspired by the lotus of the south (Upper #Egypt) but truth be told, it’s no #Lotus as all. The so called lotus of Egypt is actually a water lily and this image depicts the Egyptian mythology of the sun rising from the “lotus” (properly viewed as a water lily).
