ㅤㅤThe grass in the field is vibrant & alive, filling the air with it even as tiny hands reach out to move the tall blades from her path. Her feet sink slightly into the dirt with each step, filling her ears with light sloshing noises that even though it echoes gently through her mind is ignored as she rushes forward. Chasing the laughter up ahead & the glimpses of blond hair up ahead. Her own lips spasm, pressing tightly together to keep the giggles at bay only to open her lips wide, sucking in air until her lungs feel like they're about to burst as she shouts—Â
ㅤㅤJerking her head downward, Anna pulls herself from the memory. Holding tightly to her control, she forces her mind away so it doesn't slip deeper while trying to figure out who the memory belongs to. The last thing she needed was to be lost inside someone's memory here. Being distracted while she's out in the open leaves too much to chance & she can't afford that risk.
ㅤㅤAnna fingers pressed into the bridge of her nose as she takes a few moments to prepare herself before lifting her head once more. The sight of the devastation before her, the cracked rocks & rubble, is a shock. It always is when she remembers the lives of others, feeling it so deeply she can feel the fading laughter, her mind still expecting her boots to sink into the dry dirt beneath her feet. Taking a breath, Anna's green eyes move around her, purposely routing herself into her surroundings, letting herself feel the breeze before moving forward.
