I find myself admiring the sound of wooden bamboo flutes more often, nowadays. I even prefer when they sound ominious or haunting. Fault of Wei Wuxian. I don't blame myself for carving out all those flutes before his reincarnation... though the hidden liqour may have been a mistake. -🌨️

Thinking about my little radish, and all those years I had been absent from his life. But he lived, my Lan Zhan (that beautiful, wonderful man) raised him and cared for him and gave him a life of happiness. And, after 16 years of slowly forgetting his childhood, he still loved me enough to eventually remember. I hadn't fully understood why Wen Ning was so enamored with the boy, but I suppose he's always been pretty observant. I remember holding my Yuan, my Sizhui, once he explained everything he had started to remember. I hoped he'd be alive but, after everything, I'd just expected the worst. I'm so happy I was wrong. That he got to have such a peaceful life where his favorite Lan Zhan cared for him and became his father. Caring for my radish with Lan Zhan, is probably the best thing I had ever done in any life.

Hello mxtxkinfessions I am here to harass you again (it’s Xiao Jiu missing hours and I’m doing this instead of getting angsty about it. That and I don’t have many fictionkin friends aside from my boyfriend, who is a hardcore Binghe kin and figuratively puffs up like a cat if I talk about Shen Jiu too affectionately…therefore I only really talk about my Shen Yuan kin things with him and anything else either stays in my head or goes here LOL). Anyway. Does anybody else have trouble piecing together their particular timeline? I don’t really get very vivid memories; if anything, they’re usually short, blurry, and vague. I often only get a snapshot of a scene that I can glean very little context from. On the occasion I make another fictionkin friend from that shares a source with me, I very often can’t talk about memories or compare timelines the way they would like to because I just don’t have very much to go off of. All I get are little snippets of moments— a look, a passing conversation, a fleeting glimpse of someone, a shadow. If I can discern something from my timeline, it’s usually via strong feelings or nostalgia or deja vu rather than any fleshed out memory. Sometimes, for certain kins of mine, I feel it may be for the best I can’t remember very much (eg Xiao Xingchen), but other times, I really do wish I could remember more. Maybe I am too stuck on it. #IDK.
