"Promise me you won't go out again." 

"Emma... you know I have no choice." 

"Fine. Then promise me you'll be safe because your son needs you..."

Taken by an enchanted camera during the night after Matthew had come home from a night raid. What Emma didn't say was that she needed him too. She had to be strong. She would be strong for her son and for herself because she wasn't naive. Emma knew what occurred during these missions. And she vowed as she drifted off to sleep that she would never force her son into this life even if she had to leave her husband. For her son, she would do anything. circa. 1979

It frightened Emma and as Matthew hugged her tightly to him, he wondered if this was the future that he wanted for her. He wondered if this was the future that Emma would be satisfied with? For this was not the end but rather the beginning of something beyond their control.

James Potter in his animagus form walking through the Forbidden Forest during the early hours of the morning as he tried to walk off the anger that he felt from yet another fight with Sirius. It seemed all they were doing was fighting and so he retreated to spending hours by himself in the only form that he knew would ward anyone from disturbing him. 

Taken by Peter Pettigrew who had followed his best friend worried about the state of James and Sirius' friendship. He truly hated it when they fought because he felt even more alone than he did when they excluded him from pranks. circa. Early Winter 1976

Remus Lupin working on the battle plan for the next ambush that was whispered to happen in a few days. It was something that kept him occupied as he tried not to think about the full moon that was approaching. He knew that he would be no help during the mission so he insisted on working as much as he could. He refused to feel helpless. 

Taken by Sirius Black who worried for his friend as he knew that the Order couldn't lose any more soldiers but he desperately wanted to be with his best friend during the full moon. But he knew that Remus would not wish them to be with him when they were needed elsewhere. Seconds later, he sat down next to Remus with a smile as he tried to ignore the haggard look on his friend's face. circa. 1977

Andromeda on vacation with her sisters visiting relatives in Paris, France. It was the last vacation she would take with her family and she would look back on the photo wondering why she didn't cherish them more. 

Taken by Bellatrix Black who wondered what could possibly be the reason for the thoughtful expression on her face. Minutes later, she took a seat next to her sister silent because she did not wish to disturb Andromeda. It would be a moment in her life she would remember with a mixture of fondness and anger. Anger at her sister for leaving her in a world she would never truly fit in with. circa. Summer 1976. 

"How long can you hold your breath Longbottom?" 

"Five minutes." 

"Ha, if you can do that then I'll wear one of Molly's dresses."
