20 blocks up + 2 weeks in.. my first weeks of living in nyc for school after 12 months of convincing my parents to let me go (they worried about safety) 20 blocks south on the morning of 9.11/my decorative arts class was a danger inconceivable - the twin towers were crumbling - class was dismissed and I stood on the corner of 27th + 7th ave as people were running towards me (north) covered in soot, crying, screaming - completely out of control - the uncertainty + despair was a look everyone's face had in common, we were equals in chaos - that was then and recovery + restoration is ever since - reflecting today 🇺🇸 #survivorstairs #memorialmuseum911 #sept11 #nyc #fashioninstituteoftecnology (at Toronto, Ontario)
