by the time kat awakens the sky outside the library has taken on hues of purple. there’s something comforting about the inky horizon washing over the seemingly endless rows of books. she smiles fondly at toph’s sleeping visage, curling around what looks to be a philosophy book. moving carefully as not to awake him she departs, a haphazard note scrawled beside him. “get some rest, you’ve been working too hard.”
