#MEM2016 Session Announcement!
Future Laboratory - The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen
“The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen is one of the world's leading chamber orchestras, captivating audiences everywhere with its unique style of music-making.”
Future Laboratory is the orchestra’s pioneering outreach project which encourages engagement with an entire community through exploring innovative ways of promoting classical music.Director of Future Laboratory, Edbar Zaman, will discuss the numerous strands to the project which initiates encounters between people with differing social and cultural backgrounds. One of the biggest contributors to this success story was the decision to move the orchestra’s rehearsal rooms to the Bremen-East Comprehensive School in the heart of a socially challenged area of the city.Partnerships with the local community have also been made through “Community Opera” in which every year, hundreds of participants from Osterholz-Tenever join The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen on and off the stage in delivering an opera.
