These open-faced tacos with savory beef are a delicious twist on traditional tacos. With flavorful spices, melted cheese, and customizable toppings, they make for a satisfying meal any day of the week.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1 onion, diced. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 bell pepper, diced. 1 tablespoon chili powder. 1 teaspoon cumin. Salt and pepper to taste. 1 cup salsa. 4 large corn tortillas. 1 cup shredded cheese. Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, avocado slices, sour cream, cilantro.
Instructions: Put the ground beef in a pan and cook it over medium-low heat until it turns brown and stops being pink. To the pan, add the minced garlic, diced onion, and diced bell pepper. Make sure the vegetables are soft. Add the cumin, salt, pepper, and chili powder and mix well. Go on and cook for two more minutes. Set the oven to 350F 175C and heat it up. On a baking sheet, put the corn tortillas. Put some salsa on top of each tortilla. Spread the beef mixture out evenly on each tortilla and top it with salsa. Put some shredded cheese on top of each tortilla. Put it in an oven that is already hot and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cheese melts and bubbles. Take it out of the oven and let it cool down a bit. If you want, you can add diced tomatoes, avocado slices, sour cream, and cilantro as a garnish. Serve right away and enjoy!
