Melrakki (arctic fox)
A blue-morph arctic fox on a snowy day in one of the northern most parts of Iceland.
One of the greatest characteristics of the Arctic fox is how well it has adapted to the far north areas. To survive the Arctic winter, cold toleration is needed, and indeed, the Arctic fox has one of the thickest and best insulated furs of the animal kingdom.
