It’s been awhile since we’ve dissolved into the chill dreamy, sweet syrupy sound of TOPS, so the arrival of new single Petals was cause for much celebration. The Montreal veterans prove themselves as intoxicating as ever with their soft rock and mellow funk. They also seem to emit an abundance of Fleetwood Mac vibes on their new single. This is such a great track to start your day off. Knight One has a style that I really can't describe. Some place his tracks in the Disco and Funk genre but he really has a style of his own. This track has a really smooth and funky groove to it and I think the vocals give it an oldies feel. I wish I could but I can't really put my finger on what other artist this sounds like.
