the concept of mellie grant having an attraction to women she's never acted on is so compelling to me. there's always been too much at stake until olivia shows up and mellie's life with fitz implodes. then olivia and fitz are over. then she convinces olivia to run her presidential campaign. and then somehow mellie's life revolves around the one woman she was supposed to hate and she can't even feel sorry about it.

This show would've been so much better if Olivia and Mellie had just fucked instead

ever since I rewatched scandal I prefer olake & mellivia over olitz ..

Mellie and Olivia both love Fitz enough to tolerate each other for his sake but they should've forgotten all about him and fucked on that ugly blue chair instead of listening to his White House Correspondence Dinner speech.
