will you ever play hit 1999 adventure game The Silver Case i think playing it would scratch your brain in very funny ways
longass ramble time: so the only two suda51 games ive ever played are no more heroes and michigan report from hell. the former i think is just okay (i remember not really liking it much honestly but some of the complaints aren’t writing related so i’ll say it’s Just Okay). and the latter is probably in my top 50 games of all time— not because it’s good, but because it’s so weird and bad that it has this really strange aura, like it was made by aliens imitating a human blockbuster or something.
that being said the two games i have played have left me with the impression “i dont think i really like this guy’s works”. (like, i only love michigan because it’s so dogshit) . i initially bought no more heroes just because i heard one of the games in the series was more reading based/just a lot of text but i didnt even get that far.
and so the silver case/25th ward/anything adjacent to the series i don’t really plan on playing despite being low on english visual novels to read at this point… i just dont think i would vibe w it. that and i feel immense pain and regret when i drop money on something only to not like it (im still pissed i bought raging loop used for 10 dollars thats how much i hated it) so im not itching to buy them when i might just confirm what i thought anyways
Tldr: i have not played it but i dont think i ever will unless someone buys it for me so regret never sets in if i dont like it
Quick edit a few min later: i remember describing no more heroes as “the way i felt when the morphine kicked in when i was in the hospital in 2017 and i started hallucinating things just happening and ending but also understood that they were connected to their own reality outside my vision” to a friend
