MELBOURNE CITY RP’S AWARD  ► SIX MONTH ANNIVERSARY!

      And here we come with part ii. of celebrating the fact we’ve reached six months of being active! This is only happening because of all of you! Because you’re always making an effort to write replies, to talk to everyone and to keep Melbourne alive, and we’re thankful for that! We’re really lucky to have each one of you in here, and we couldn’t thank you enough! With that being said, prepare yourselves because it’s the season of awards!

     Under the read more you’ll find a list of questions where their answer should be one of the roles inside of the roleplay. Once you’ve answered all of them, you need to send it to us through the submit box (it can’t be anonymous, but we won’t reveal who’s voted for who, only the results, so no worries!). For those who have more than one character, keep in mind that you can only vote once! We’re also kindly asking that no characters will be repeated in your answers (Example: If you’ve already placed character X in an answer, you can’t place them in any other answer). And, for the sake of good fun, please don’t vote for your own characters!

        This isn’t mandatory, but it can be entertaining for all of us. We’ll keep the votes open until February 10th, or until everyone’s voted. So, have fun! Oh! And the admins won’t vote for anyone, so these awards will be given to you and they will be chosen by you! If you have any questions about it, our askbox is always open!

TASK #005  ► WHAT COMES NEXT;

The future is a mystery, the frightening idea of jumping into the unknown and taking the consequences of what you’ve done in the past when you’re finally facing that future. The uncertainty makes us wonder about what will happen to us the next week, month, year, decade. And for once, you have full control of someone’s future. Your character.

This fifth task revolves around the characters’ future. Choose a faceclaim to represent your role in the future! You can post it as a photoset, as a gifset, allow your creativity to flow. (don’t forget to pay attention to your FC’s ethnic background when choosing the faceclaim, and if you need help with it know that our inbox is always open to help you!). And along with the faceclaim, every player is entitled to send the questions below to the players in the roleplay. Our own future meme.

↪ How does they feel about the life they have? Is everything they’ve been dreaming of? ↪ What’s their relationship status? ↪ Do they have kids? How many? ↪ Are they still friends with people they used to be friends with? ↪ Do they still have the same job? And are they happy with it? ↪ Is there something they miss about their past? (a.k.a. your role in the present) ↪ Do they still live in Melbourne? ↪ Do they have different hobbies? ↪ What are their goals for the future?

TASK #003  ► FACE YOUR FEARS;

Everyone owns their particular fears, something they wouldn’t know how they’d possibly react while facing that situation, but just the thought of going through it may cause them to panic. Animals, people, the dark... to name a few. Some may have more than one, some are just afraid of being afraid; and, in the end, it’s someone’s fear that makes it easier to understand their persona better than before, to understand that their fears, somehow, also molded this person to become what they’re now.

This third task revolves around the characters’ fear. Write a headcanon where your role is forced to face one of their fears, or all of them. Allow your creativity to flow, and give them the challenge of either surpassing it or being unable to go through that situation. This is a different way of developing your role and figuring out if their fear owns them, instead of being able to control it.

Task #002  ► Family;

What defines a family? The traditional definition of the word has changed throughout the years, but the meaning remains the same. Family, no matter how different, how close or estranged, is still the people who we were either born or bred into. 

This second task revolved around the characters’ family. We’re asking our players to create a family template (something simple) with pictures of people you’ve envisioned as your character’s closest family members, and to write a little headcanon involving their family. It can be a happy time or a sad one, but if it involves something triggering, please remember to place it under read more and to tag it properly! Also, don’t forget to pay attention to your FC’s ethnic background, and if you need help with that, our inbox is always open and we’re more than willing to help!

Task #001  ► Playlist;

Here we come with out first task for our beautiful players! 

Sometimes music makes it easier to share things about ourselves, things that we are unable to talk about or that we don’t find enough words to express, music can help some go through a bad time of their lives, to dance when we feel like doing so, a heartbreak, music is all over us. 

With that being said, you now have the chance of showing your characters through songs! You could create a playlist with their favorite songs, songs that shows who they are, songs that shows their development through years, songs about their loved ones. Let your creativity flow! This is a fun way of providing information about your role, not only to other players but also to yourselves. Sometimes it will even provide you all more ideas for your character that you never really thought about before! So go for it!
