New York, Here I Come
It’s been a pretty hectic school year, but I’m so darn thankful for the summer. Now, it’s vacation time (but a teacher’s job never ends) I’m headed to New York to spend (more) time with @queenangieb and also to see my baby @otisbishop @destinysplayhouse​ again.Â
My mother was mad that I chose to spend my summer in another city (and away from her) but she’ll understand...I hopeÂ

Excuse the Mess
So I’m back in North Carolina from New York. I completely enjoyed my Spring Break there, but it’s back to the chaos and mess that is my classroom. It’s all good, though - there’s only TWO WEEKS left in the school year...
It’s FANTASTIC FRIDAY so I let the students play with the toy box, but they didn’t clean up after themselves.
Instead, students left in a hurry when the dismissing bell rang, so it’s time for me to find something to put on my stomach after I clean this mess
 I skipped breakfast because my flight got in a bit late…
I hope your Friday was a little less chaotic than mine.Â

Early Preparations
Of course while I’m doing final preparations for my lesson today, one of my students came in early. My time was then spent tutoring and chatting about whatever came to her mind (she’s very talkative) Thank God I prepared last night, otherwise today would be a mess... Oh, the life of a teacher...
Missing You
It’s only been a day and a half, yet it feels like forever. I took a stroll through the park (or tried to) just to clear my thoughts, but all I seem to be doing is checking my phone for your text/call.

Breezy
I told Otis @destinysplayhouse that I didn’t know how to paint, or draw. I guess Otis took this as a challenge because he arranged for us to paint something together.Â
Don’t be fooled… He did majority of the work.
But it was easier than I thought it’d be…
Ahead On My Way
When I tell ya’ll that I ran out of that school when the final bell rang… Ya’ll have no idea how slow today dragged. Now that I’m home and in comfortable clothes, I’ve been able to throw a few more things into my suitcase.Â
I think I’ve packed too much…? (Or not enough). I’m so excited to be spending spring break with my Bliss Sis and dearest friend (and love), @queenangieb . I’ve never been to New York, so I’m pumped to experience the city life, and spend some much needed quality time with her.  I just hope I don’t end up missing my flight. I’m going to need another bag. I’ll see you soon, Angie! Have that cake ready for me.
