Sad Meitatsu headcanons + au because I can :,D
Tatsumiya once told Meikai about her crush on him. Meikai gently told her that he couldn't see her in a romantic light and it just couldn't be possible. That night he stood outside of Tatsu's room listening as she cried herself to sleep.
When Tatsumiya learns about Meikai and Wadanohara's mother, she just quietly stood aside. Meikai often talked about them and more than once Tatsumiya felt forgotten.
This is more like an Au but whatever. The day Meikai decided to seal princess Mikotsu away, there was a surprise attack to the castle. Tatsumiya died protecting her sorcerer's unborn child. Seeing this, Meikai breaks, instead of sealing the red sea away he killed Mikotsu, as her supporters fled in fear. When princess Uomi found them inside the bloodied castle, Meikai was craddling Tatsumiya's body, crying softly on her hair.

since it already parallels samewada i'd imagine they had A LOT of similar moments, and sometimes wadanohara will say things to samekichi that meikai had said to tatsumiya long ago
whenever meikai laughed it always made tatsumiya feel as though everything was right in the sea and how it should be. when he disappeared it took her a while to believe anything could ever be right again. wadanohara was what made her believe a part of him would always be with her, and the first time she heard wadanohara laugh she knew she'd been right.
tatsumiya has said meikai had silly moments so there were probably times where he played light-hearted pranks on people or teased her until her face matched the red in her color scheme
meikai gave the best hugs. when meikai hugged someone they knew he cared because they could always feel him give everything to it. but when meikai hugged tatsumiya he always lingered longer and he'd always softly tell her something comforting even if it was just a temporary hug goodbye. when meikai left a final time he couldn't hug her since there was no time to give her one of those longer hugs, and it would only make it harder on her for him to leave.
