The last two years, I've drawn something for "Maid Day" (May 10), andhad a lot of fun with this little series. This year, I decided it was Marie's turn, so our lovely bard gets a "maid-over" this time!

First, we have to ask ourselves. “Is it a Meidou?”

Because the Meidou usually didn’t have big planets like that.

We also see Byakuya do something similar with his magic gourd, In the manga, the scene just shifts to the dimension after Byakuya uses the Gourd. But in the anime he could summon a moon and send them to another realm.

I mean, it could also have something to do with Taishou's gravesite.

InuYasha The Final Act Episode 15, Dragon Scaled Tessaiga was used to cut into demonic vortex. Towa has a similar ability. When Tessaiga and Tenseiga were trying to merge to become one that was said to be the only way to get out of a Meidou before InuYasha got Black Tessaiga, was to cut into his own Demonic Vortex which could lead to death.

Kirinmaru was surprised.

Meidou Zangetsuha opens a pathway into hell, not outer space. It does look like space, but it isn’t.

The space-like battle may have been more of a realm or area that was created by the convergence of their demonic energy. Evidence of this, is when Moroha leaves her Beniyasha form the area disappears as well.

It’s like a demonic vortex colliding. It’s so much energy it displaces the air and becomes it’s own realm.

- In the Final Act, Inu-Yasha begins to figure out how to control the Great Dog Demon blood. As of right now I don't know if his would appear as a spirit form behind him. Unless they were to implement that idea for future episodes. Because he has been able to control it later on in the series.

- As of Yashahime the Second Act this never happened.

- Towa's new sword in the promo picture is a Chinese Style sword much like Kirinmaru's. It might be the Yukari no Tachikiri which means to "cut ties with" or "severe the tie". Which might be used to seperate Rin from Zero, or Setsuna from the Dream Butterfly. That's just speculation at the moment from what we are given.
