#megunui

Hello!! And yeh I did! At first I got this megumi plushie from an anime store near me:

But his eyes are deep blue here like in the anime, and I mean I love his eyes in whatever color - but for so long Ive been making his eyes emerald green/ bluish green sorta so I wanted to make a plushie with the eye color that I want. A lot of fanartist who draw megumi makes it green, bluish green or emerald green coz of that one colored page in the manga i dont even remember which - but yeh thats where green eye megumi came from!

But anyways!

I planned out how I wanted the plushie to look - the first one I did was the 20 cm one I posted on here - before buying the materials I will need! Piyopico’s youtube channel helped out greatly for the bigger plushie! They also have a pattern available in their booth website and I used that for practice. I think I probably used and wasted so much fabric in order to get the megunui to where I wanted I him to look but it was fun to make 😼👍.

The embroidery part and the hair is probably where I took the most time in 🤔 especially coz I don’t have any experience in embroidery before this 😭 but I think it worked out eventually.

I was gonna make a proper blog on how I made the megunui but I got lazy sorry 😣

But I have here a poorly edited video timelapse thing of when I was making a megunui plushie for a friend!

I made this in separate days so I can’t remember exactly how many hours this took to make 🤔 but im guessing more than 10 hours since the embroidery takes a lot of time 🤔

He’s now with my friend but here’s megunui with his frog hoodie!

I also learned some basic crochet for this 😆
