How did Lux and Sombra met, what was their first impression of each other and how does that differ from their current thoughts and relationship with each other? Was there any moment where they didn't like the other? Or were things always chill between the two?

Lux and Sombra obviously haven't met in canon (you know that, but some people might not), but I have a few headcanons for how their first interactions went.

My headcanon of Sombra being a vampire of sorts intertwines with this a lot, but I like the idea that while she's doing her reaping work she also has to pick and choose what souls she's going to feed off of to survive versus who she's going to send into the underworld.

I think, when feeding, she seeks out people specifically at the end of their lives, something she can just sort of Tell. She knows if someone is going to die soon, and will use that as a chance to feed.

So, you can imagine, in a world where Lux exists that Sombra can often be found in the aftermath of Nightmare's attacks on aus, which, doesn't make her look the best. Especially if you pair this up with a Star Sanses scenario, in which case I imagine Lux working alongside them.

Their first impressions of each other weren't great.

Lux doesn't like to jump to conclusions, but seeing someone literally eat a soul in front of your eyes won't give you the best idea of that person. Originally, whilst Lux was curious about Sombra, she ultimately saw her as a threat or a danger.

Sombra also wasn't the biggest fan of Lux at the first meeting. She's never really cared for the Star Sanses, seeing the group as very righteous, and frankly annoying. She doesn't really like the concept of a group trying to make themselves heroes, and I honestly don't know if she believes anyone is capable of doing that selflessly.

She saw Lux as just another member of the Star Sanses, some sort of prissy princess who thinks she's better than everyone else.

A lot of their early interactions were honestly just Sombra ragebaiting Lux, because she wanted to see if she could get Lux to break, but never thought she actually would.

Lux very much breaks and blows up Sombra, which begins the shift in dynamic as Sombra realizes that there's more to Lux than she originally thought.

There's a lot that happens in between, but as time passes they become quite close. They don't share the same views on each other that they once had, more seeing the other as the person they are beneath their masks.

To me, they're both characters who care a lot about the opinion of others, but go about it in completely opposite ways. Lux is a people pleaser at heart, and has changed herself over the years to be seen a certain way. Sombra, on the other hand, went in the completely opposite direction of trying to pretend she doesn't care about anything anyone thinks ever. They ended up realizing they had a lot more in common than they thought. They give each other the strength to be more like themselves.
