Translation: “A whistling train in the dark of the night // Like a melancholic conch // The sweet lullaby, // Mother hummed to me the first time. // Ever since I was born, a blind river flows // Sobbing emancipation bestowed by the song.”
“ফিরতি পথে, মস্ত আকাশ // অস্ফুট স্বর, ধুলোর গান
এ হাওয়া, আমায় নেবে কত দূরে? // এ হাওয়া, আমি এখানে”
Translation: “Upon heading back home, a wide-open sky // Murmured notes, a dust-written song // How far will this wind drift me along? // Oh, high wind, here I am.”
