Track #3-5: Justice Will Prevail
Artist: Mega Beardo
Original: Rundas Fight by Kenji Yamamoto
Length: 5:51
This new remix of Rundas' battle theme from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, courtesy of Mega Beardo, is named after the ice-wielding bounty hunter's final words to Samus before being corrupted by Dark Samus. An earlier remix, 'Melting Sun' by Pyro Paper Planes, was a gentle piano piece that emphasized the theme's tragic air; Mega Beardo contrasts this by remaking the theme as a heavy metal guitar song, hewing closely to the original especially in the beginning.
This song has big boots to fill following up 'Melting Sun', one of the most heartbreaking Metroid remixes out there, and it doesn't quite hit the mark. There are a lot of things I like about this remix - the opening is very promising with a faithful rendition that quickly develops new ideas on top of the original, and the soft section at 3:00 brings a melancholy air that perfectly fits the original. However, on the whole, I think the song goes a little too hard when a softer or more varied touch would be more welcome. I also find it a bit repetitive, and when it reaches the main body of the original piece (towards the end) it doesn't stay there long enough or keep the beat going. So this is a remix that overplays its main ideas but brings a lot of promising variety.

Drum tracking video update #2 for Mega Beardo's "Ledjent of Zelda" album coming out in March.
Mega Beardo's "Belmont" concept album--- worth the appreciation. I have good few favourites, but listening through the tracks don't make me press the next button, so it's a good sign! :P
Plus I've been working on a new fan art last night while listening to that album... hahaa...
Mega Beardo's 'Belmont'
I was just reading latest feeds on my facebook and Castlevania FB page is promoting this guy, I never heard of him, so right now I'm listening to his Castlevania tribute (entitled 'Belmont') album. Which is so far, not bad...
