Financial Problems.
With my entrepreneurial idea focusing more on the creative side instead of the business and financial side, I have tried to figure out how I could make a profit from my idea. Listed below are some ideas which I have thought of in order to fund my idea;
Ask the University for funding.
With the company being based within the university and with the university able to use this as promotional material, I thought that I could ask the University for funding to see whether they would be able to help with the idea. The steps I would have to take are to get in touch with marketing, contact the IT department, research and ask the Dean to see if he would approve of this idea, ask lectures to see if they will support the idea.
Crowd funding
Set up a webpage asking people to donate to the idea to help the creative community within the university.
Membership fee/subscription.
Charging a monthly, annual or even a membership fee for students to pay in order for them to participate and upload their ideas with free entry into events and membership privileges.
Monthly events with a door charge
Hold monthly events at a local student bar and charge on the door prices of £5.
App for IPhone and Android
Develop an app where students and download and upload their content and charge 0.79p - £2.99 for the app on GooglePlay or the AppStore.
Sponsorship
Approach companies to see if they can sponsor the company. Whether that be with equipment or product placement.
Advertisements
Offer advertising space on the website and on the app for businesses to promote themselves to a selective audience.
Merchandise
