I'm posting "The Clown on Globe" mechanical bank by J. & E. Stevens, Cromwell, Connecticut, ca. 1890. "The 'Clown on Globe" cast iron bank was based on Patent No. 428,450 issued to James H. Bowen on May 20, 1890. This bank has excellent paint but the latch holding the clown in the seated position is chipped and the round coin trap is missing. I've included a picture from the May, 2021 Maine Atique Digest of the same model and base color that recently sold at Bertoia Auctions (3/5-6/21) for $24,000.
