OK so... despite its horrendous placement in the show (right in the middle of the 10 Tails battle and right after Tobi becomes the jinchuriki) and considering that filler has the job of essentially being jingling-keys entertainment until the manga can catch up, I actually find Mecha Naruto to be fucking hilarious and cinema all the way.. I mean
even the self-sacrifice lol this is definitely one of the better fillers because it is so self-aware
And even Deidara comes in for no reason but to bully Gaara in a super meta way lol
And I didn't even get to Mecha Naruto outrunning Neji's rotation in the funniest scene ever, or Naruto giving Sakura a flower and saying "protect this flower and I will protect the Sakura that protects the flower" and then... she literally comes back and says she protected the flower at the end πππ this shit is literally the best type of filler I don't even care
