Since you've asked me about Cricket before, how would Maxie attempt to sidle up to him if he wanted to? In fact, how would Maxie sidle up to anyone? How would he deal with rejection? What's his favourite food to cook that we in the modern, comfortable world would never consider eating unless very desperate?

- Maxie would probably approach Cricket with caution, showing that he’s not threatening. He’s very confident in his hybrid appearance but there’s always that nagging fear of being shunned or rejected because of it, so as long as Cricket isn’t put off by a half-reptillian hybrid then it should go fairly well. And to be fair, it’s how he tends to sidle up to anyone. Approach calmly and appear friendly, but having a bit of a guard up in case things go south.
- Rejection... it depends on the grounds really. Maxie doesn’t like to be rejected but if it’s done politely then he’s able to move on and be like ‘oh okay’. Ruder rejections tend to be met with a more biting response, and if the rejection is specifically because of his hybrid appearance, then woe betide that poor sod because they will feel his wrath. He doesn’t stand for anyone treating him like shit just because he’s not fully human.
- Maxie tends to stick with safer options with food (opting for Brahmin or radstag usually) but one dish that he does like to make that would make even the strongest of wasteland stomachs turn is made with bloatfly meat. He HATES how slimy and gross bloatfly meat is... but he’s found a way to make it very palatable. Cook it down into a soup, add various vegetables and season with whatever herbs he can get his hands on. Most wouldn’t touchy it but if the meat is cooked down enough and there’s enough additionall seasoning, you don’t get that horrid slimy mouth feel XD
