“CAVALIER”
By Siloette
Originally from Southern California, Meagan Spendlove, aka Siloette, spent time in Seattle and Phoenix before moving to the Bay Area, but says she has travelled to and painted in more than 80 cities around the world along the way. Now in Oakland Spendlove says she finally has a studio, and is drawing more frequently than for many years, and she told Neighborhood Love that she’s hard on herself but can see progress and evolution in her work. While she describes her work as “sort of modern Art Nouveau” she also says she’s still a “work in progress.” These colorful peacock feathers were painted in San Francisco’s Cedar Alley near Polk Street, for Cavalier Design. @meaganspendlove @official_neighborhood_love @scenesfromthesidewalk
