A small tribute to the plants that are always there: common, familiar, often overlooked, and endlessly beautiful. Värmland, Sweden (3 July 2014).

I grew up next to the Lower Derwent Valley and do miss the smell of meadowsweet underfoot and skies full of noisy swifts.

Crafted in 18ct recycled yellow gold, this sculptural, one-of-a-kind trilogy ring features a central opalescent pink pear sapphire from Sri Lanka, flanked by two reclaimed old mine-cut diamonds. Four tiny diamonds are nestled within intricate meadowsweet flower details. (£5,840, Tomfoolery)
